About 20 miles outside of Childress, doing 80 mph on the freeway, my engine stopped. I eventually got my truck to start, it somehow made it to Childress, and I pulled into Hill's Motors. My truck needed a crankshaft position sensor, but none of the suppliers had the part in town. I thought I was going to have to stay the night, which would have derailed my entire road trip. Even though the shop was busy servicing other vehicles, Mr. Hill located the part in a different city, had one of his men drive the part in, and installed the part the same day. I cannot fully express how fortunate I feel to have found an honest repair shop that was willing to go above and beyond to get me back on the road. After the repair, my truck has driven like new for over 2,000 miles. If you need a repair and you're passing through Childress, or Hill's Motors is within driving distance of your home, you should take your vehicle to Hill's Motors. Driving from DFW to New Mexico today, my wife's Jeep was having major electrical issues. As she approached Childress I called Hill's Motors. Jeremy was very responsive and quickly deduced that the battery and alternator were fine. Several electrical connections were loose and Jeremy quickly fixed them. This place is awesome. Some of the best guys around. Jeremy, and his crew are angels. They helped me, my father and 12yr old son get home safe. We were traveling thru and our transfer case blew. Our truck was disabled and was not making it back to Denver CO. These guys did everything they could to get us home. Our break down was only a 2 hour delay in our trip. Omg! I can’t say enough about this business, owners and their staff after a nightmare week of being broke down in Steamboat Springs, co. We got on the road, and 42 miles west of Childress, Tx. We lost the freeze plug out of the turbo my husband had just changed. We pulled into a rest area where Dave commenced to calling around to find the part. When he called Hill's, Jeremy went to work for us. His nephew Nathan who works for him was passing the rest area, he had him Åtop and tow our trailer in, and as we couldn’t get the part till the next day, he went to work finding us a place to park our trailer and get our horses comfortable. My radiator blew just outside of town and not only did they start working on it immediately and he personally drove us to a hotel and got us checked in with a "broken down" discount.
